Sentry Land Company, through its affiliates Sentry Development and Sentry Capital, is focused on developing and constructing first-class senior living communities in suburban markets across the Midwest, Mid-South, and Southeast. Sentry’s business model relies on deep analysis of data and technology, along with old-fashioned boots on the ground research of each new market. We believe strongly in a continuum of care model, providing Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care options for seniors at each community.

Sentry’s experienced and business-minded team also provides development expertise and construction management services to clients with respect to new development and repositioning in various real estate sectors, including commercial, institutional, and residential projects.

Jordan Dorsey

Founder/Principal

Jordan founded Sentry Land Company after leading a prior company that developed and repositioned more than 40 seniors housing communities across the Midwest and Southeast – communities that served more than 3,000 deserving seniors and employed more than 2,500 dedicated employees. During his 10+ year career, Jordan has been directly responsible for originating and overseeing $1B+ in residential and commercial real estate. Prior to entering the seniors housing business, Jordan was a real estate lawyer with a large STL law firm.

The name “Sentry” is a nod to Jordan’s grandparents’ hardware store that they owned and operated in a small Central Illinois town for more than 50 years. They didn’t know a stranger. Their business was more than a store; rather, it was the epitome of true “community” – a local gathering place on Saturday mornings for fellowship and a consistent supporter of youth sports and education. Sentry Land Company aspires to impart these same values of community engagement and support in each new development.

Jordan lives in the STL area and his greatest joys are his amazing wife and four young boys.
